Carlo Salvadore Bonura

Carlo Salvadore Bonura passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home on April 6, 2024, at the age of 82. He was a retired Draftsman of 38 years for McMoran Oil and Gas. Besides his passion for LSU, he enjoyed watching all types of sports, playing, and listening to music, and hosting family gatherings where he was always the life of the party. Anyone who met him loved him immediately. He will be dearly missed by all. Carlo was preceded in death by his father, Marion Raymond Bonura, Sr., his mother Susie Elizabeth Danna, and his brother Nicholas Bonura. He is survived by his childhood sweetheart and loving wife of 62 years, Marie Puipuro Bonura, his son Kenny Bonura (Sandy), his daughter Donna Bonura Camet (Ronald, Jr.), his grandsons Kal Bonura (Lindsey), Bret Bonura, Chip Bonura, his granddaughters Miranda Camet Plauche (Dwaine, Jr.), Alyssa Camet, great-granddaughter, Giavanna Bonura. He is also survived by his brother Marion Bonura, Jr. (Mary). Family and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Mass at 1:00 pm, on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at Greenwood Funeral Home, 5200 Canal Blvd., New Orleans, LA 70124.
